Enrolling

• Our Benefits Team will send you a registration email if you're eligible for health benefits. Please reach out to the team at pgbenefits@populusgroup.com if you have trouble with the KTBS website.
• You must enroll within 30 days of your start date. If you miss your new hire enrollment deadline, then you would need to experience a qualifying life event or have to wait until the next open enrollment period. Open Enrollment is held on a yearly calendar basis in November, but coverage will not go into effect until 1/1 of the following calendar year.
• Benefits are always effective the first of the month following your start date. If you enroll after your start date you may have past premiums owed.
• Our eligibility requirements state you must be working at least 20 hours per week in order to participate and keep your coverage active throughout the year.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

• If you’re interested in enrolling, you will need to complete your enrollment with the benefits portal before your 30-day enrollment deadline
• FSAs save money on health care expenses or dependent care expenses because you’re paying with pre-tax dollars. Here's a list of eligible expenses. 
• The money is withdrawn from your paycheck on a weekly basis and placed into your account before taxes are calculated
• Only $500 of unused funds carry over to the following Plan Year (calendar year), and expire on March 31st of the following year
• You have 30 days from your start date to enroll in one or both of our FSA programs
• Your effective date will always be the first of the month following your start date
• Our eligibility requirements state you must be working at least 20 hours per week in order to participate and keep your plan(s) active throughout the year
