Commuter Benefit
Commuter Benefits are offered to a wide range of cities and states across the US. Populus Group is pleased to offer this Commuter Benefit to you to help make your transportation as affordable as possible. Whether you ride public transit to work or participate in a vanpooling program, you are eligible for Commuter Benefits! If you have questions on whether your state or city qualifies for this Commuter Benefit, please reach out to pgbenefits@populusgroup.com.
If you are not interested in participating in Commuter Benefits, no action is required on your end.
If you are interested, here’s what you need to know:
- To enroll you will need to send an email to pgbenefits@populusgroup.com requesting access to Optum Commuter Benefits. Once our benefits team gets you enrolled they will send you a confirmation email and you will then be able to create an account and make your selections
- When entering the address on the website during enrollment, you will want to enter the physical worksite address that you’re working at (not Populus Group’s address)
- You have to enroll by the 10th of the month for your effective date to be the 1st of the following month.
- Example: For benefits effective December 1, you must place your order or enroll by November 10th. A single deduction from your first paycheck each elected month covers the premiums costs. You do have the option to set up recurring orders on the site as well so that you do not have to go in and order each month.
- Populus Group is offering commuter check vouchers and commuter check cards. However, we are unable to offer a parking benefit

HIPAA Forms
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is a U.S. law enacted in 1996 that sets national standards for protecting an individual's medical records and other personal health information. HIPAA ensures privacy and security while allowing the necessary flow of health information to provide high-quality healthcare. All members of Populus Group's workforce with access to protected health information (PHI) must comply with the policies and procedures associated with HIPAA compliance.
Here are some HIPAA forms you might need while on assignment:
- Should you need to request to restrict the use of PHI, please complete the HIPAA Request Form.
- Should you need to report a HIPAA incident, including the use of systems, applications, and electronically protected health information, please use the HIPAA Security Incident Report.
